Little Pea hates eating candy for dinner, but his parents will not let him have his spinach dessert until he cleans his plate, in a story that many children can relate to, well, sort of.
All last week, during Children’s Book Week (May 12-18, 2008), Cherry Hill readers voted for their favorite books in three categories – Picture Book, Easy Reader and Juvenile Fiction.
Last night, at the second annual “Cherry Picks” reception, the Cherry Hill Public Library revealed the winners of the 2008 Cherry Hill Children’s Book Awards – also known as – Cherry Picks! The 2008 Winners are:

Best Easy Reader There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Fly Guy by: Tedd Arnold
